Bio
CJ Niehoff and Jamfoot History
What a long, strange trip it's been
CJ is a Singer/Songwriter/Multi-Instrumentalist musician that has been playing music in various forms for most of his life. Early on he played violin, piano, and trumpet during school years. During his teen years he first picked up the guitar where he played in garage bands, jam bands and solo acoustic shows in Kent Ohio and around the Cleveland area. He then worked in recording studios as a freelance engineer and producer as well as a gigging and studio musician from coast to coast. He formed Jamfoot to bring together the many musician friends and family that love to play and have a good time together and they’ve since played music all over the world.
In the studio, he's been blessed with royalty talent to craft the songs, such as the amazing Chris Layton, Stevie Ray Vaughan’s, Double Trouble drummer.
Dan Wojciechowski, drummer for Peter Frampton and Olivia Newton John
Neil Flanz, incredible pedal steel player who played with Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris
Rick Plester, who has produced artists such as Michael Schenker, George Lynch and James Kottak of the Scorpions and a slew of other really great musicians and characters including Derek Burgess, Damian Sisca, Greg Webb, Bob Romans, Duncan Hopkins and Rob Keizer.
CJ's new album, “Tales From Hill Country” was released in November of 2020. We’ve also remastered our release from 2013, “Playing With Fire”. All releases are available on all streaming services around the world and on CD.
